A few years ago, Ken Keim's career took him on the road staying in cities around the country for six to ten weeks at a time. Motels were uncomfortable and trustworthy housing was difficult to find. Ken wondered, "Wouldn't it be marvelous to return to a house after work which was more like home — a space with all the comforts of home?"


The idea matured, and Travelers' Rest was created to

offer professionals an option to long-term stays in a motel room.


Ken raised his two sons in Jackson and has been very involved in the community. He has served as Deacon at First Presbyterian church, and on the boards of; the Jackson Arts Council, Youthtown, and United Way. He served as president of the Jackson Symphony and is founder of the Lambuth Area Neighborhood Association, and the annual Starlight Symphony, now in its' 40th year.

Ken is a sales/marketing executive and lives close to the property. His interests are historic preservation, tourism, antiques, travel, cooking, gardening and real estate. He enjoys the Arts — theatre, all types of music, and art.


Ken is an Airbnb super host. He enjoys visiting the nearby dog park with his Golden Retreiver, Duke.
